

ASSISTANT MARKET RESEARCH MANAGER

ROLE OVERVIEW
- Engages the brand teams under the Strategic Marketing Divisions assigned to him/her to understand and assess the market research and insighting needs of each of the brands and New Product Development (NPD) projects under these Divisions; Based on this, works with his/her team members to craft the year-long research plan that would address the market research and insighting needs of each of the brands and NPDs in these Divisions
- Supervises his/her team members in the management of their research projects for the brands and NPD's under the Divisions assigned to them by reviewing their initial inputs on each of the following on a per project basis: the market research brief, proposed research design/methodology, the project cost, the questionnaire/FGD guide, the analysis plan, and the report/presentation deck; Monitors progress of team's projects vs. planned/committed timelines; Manages the work plan of the team to identify project prioritization and in the event of delays or concerns with projects, negotiates timelines with Strategic Marketing and works with his/her team to identify best possible course of action to address these delays or concerns
- Supervises his/her team members in the management of data sources to ensure timely delivery of data from these data sources; Works with his/her team members on the development and/or optimization of tools/methodologies for data sources
- Influences the strategy of the brands and NPDs within the Divisions assigned to him/her by providing inputs, based on data and learnings/insights, to the following documents of each brand: (1) Business Review & Key Strategic Imperatives, and (2) Engagement Brief; and to the following for each NPD: (1) Business Opportunity Strategy (BOS); (2) Product Commitment Sheet (PCS) and (3) Post-Launch Review (PLR); Provides inputs on decisions pertaining to execution specifically communications/advertising
- Provides on-the-job coaching to his/her team members; Manages the upskilling/development of his/her team members by reviewing, monitoring and following through on their development programs (IDP); Provides regular feedback on the performance of his/her team members and based on their identified strengths and areas for improvement, identifies concrete action steps to address these
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Research, Statistics, Math, Business Administration, or Economics
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience,
- Ideally with at least 2 years of supervisory experience
- Ideally with experience in both MR agency and Client side
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills
- Skilled in translating data into actionable business insights
