Role Overview:

• Administers databases and reports applications including, but not limited to, backup and recovery, performance tuning, query optimization, troubleshooting, security and installation of patches and upgrades.
• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and data warehouse solutions. Uses advanced SQL for ETL/ELT processes, data transformation, and integration to support analytics, reporting, and downstream data consumers.
• Design, write, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and database objects. Works closely with application and reporting teams to support data-driven applications and business intelligence needs.
• Gather and analyze business requirements, collaborate with stakeholders, and produce comprehensive database and system documentation to translate functional needs into technical solutions.
• Perform daily data updates, monitor database operations, and support day-to-day system activities to ensure data accuracy, performance, and availability.

Required Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience as a SQL Server Developer / Data Engineer with hands-on DBA support
• Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server development, including SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS
• Experienced in writing, optimizing, and maintaining ETL/ELT stored procedures
• Knowledgeable in database design, performance tuning, backups, and recovery best practices
• Skilled in daily database operations, including data updates, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Strong ability to analyze data, perform root cause analysis, and translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Capable of producing clear database documentation and working effectively independently or in a team environment
