

INSURANCE BROKER ACCOUNTS OFFICER
(for a Unilab Group Subsidiary)

The Insurance Broker Accounts Officer is responsible for managing client accounts, ensuring efficient policy servicing, negotiations with insurers and attending to client aftersales concerns. This role requires expertise in non-life/general insurance/group life. Knowledge and experience on employee benefits is a plus.
The officer ensures clients’ prompt premium payments, addresses customer inquiries, accounts receivables, policy bookings, and insurer coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Attainment of Business Goals: achieve the company’s premium and commission target be it new business or renewals, maintaining renewal persistency ratio, and other targets as may be assigned.
2. Account Servicing: Primary contact for clients, policy servicing, renewals, and claims assistance adhering to established turnaround times. The candidate is expected to do account coverage via meetings and visits on a regular basis.
3. Managing Premium Payments & Accounts Receivables: Ensure timely collections, reconciliation, and reduction of outstanding balances.
4. Addressing Customer Queries and Concerns: Handle inquiries and claims issues. The candidate will be expected to conduct product orientation to assigned accounts.
5. Policy Booking and Documentation: Oversee policy applications, endorsements, and compliance.
6. Coordination with Insurers: Establish and maintain relationships for smooth processing.
7. Strategic Focus: Together with the General Manager and management team of the broker, formulate strategies to increase revenues and improve customer service.
8. Other key results areas: compliance to internal and external audits. Preparation of annual budget and plans.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in any Business or Finance course or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in non-life/general insurance or general insurance broking services.
- Strong understanding of account and client management, policy servicing and relationship building.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and insurance-related software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts efficiently.
