Bonifacio Insurance Broker Corporation (BIBC) was incorporated on May 7, 1998, and registered with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) under SEC Registration No. A199801848. The company is engaged in insurance brokering services covering all lines of property and casualty insurance, surety bonds, life, and medical insurance, and all other related lines and services.

Job Summary 


The Operations Head is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of the brokerage, including payment and reconciliation tracking, insurance documentation, policy servicing, and claims support. The role ensures that operational processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with service standards. The Operations Head also acts as a key internal partner to the Account Management, Finance, and Claims teams, supporting business continuity, process improvements, and scalable service delivery.


Key Responsibilities

Operations Oversight & Compliance

  • Oversees the operational activities across premium payments and reconciliation, insurance policy documentation, claims liaison, and customer aftersales servicing.
  • Leads the monitoring and tracking of policy renewals to support account management teams and prevent lapses.
  • Coordinates with the Finance and Account Management teams to ensure accurate and timely recording of payments, reconciliation of accounts, and documentation submission.
  • Implements and monitors operational controls and ensures compliance with regulatory standards, internal policies, and industry practices.
  • Supports KYC (Know Your Customer) and client onboarding processes, ensuring accurate documentation and client validation.


Process Improvement & Systems Support

  • Leads the documentation and improvement of operational processes, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and alignment with company strategy.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders in enhancing the functionality and usage of broking systems and operational tools.
  • May be tasked to lead transformation projects, including automation or digitization initiatives, policy workflow improvements, and other cross-functional enhancements.

 

Claims & Provider Coordination

  • Coordinates with internal teams and insurers to facilitate timely and accurate claims processing and resolution.
  • Ensures provider documentation and due diligence checks are performed when onboarding or reviewing insurer partners.
  • Supports the claims team in data management, status updates, and trend reporting.

 

Customer Support & Documentation

  • Ensures aftersales inquiries are addressed in line with client servicing standards and internal SLAs.
  • Supports Account Officers by ensuring documents are in order and accessible, acting as a backup for policy monitoring and documentation control.

Other Responsibilities

  • Works closely with the General Manager and other department heads to ensure alignment of operations with overall business objectives.
  • Performs other tasks that may be assigned in support of company operations and initiatives.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or any related field.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in insurance operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Preferably with experience in an insurance brokerage setting.
  • Strong background in premium reconciliation, policy servicing, process improvement, and client documentation.
  • Familiarity with insurance broking systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Solid understanding of insurance workflows, including payments, claims liaison, and post-policy servicing.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including Finance, Claims, and Account Management.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance provider documentation, KYC protocols, and industry best practices.
