Role Overview:

• Responsible for developing overarching medical strategies that align with the company’s organizational objectives. This includes scientific evidence generation development plans, medical plans, product launch strategies, and lifecycle management.
• Creates and disseminates consistent scientific messaging and communication plans. This ensures that the scientific information about the products is accurate, consistent, and aligned with standards.
• Provides clinical leadership and medical strategic directions at the corporate, both at the local and regional level on the different therapeutic portfolios of the organization that align with overall corporate goals and therapeutic area needs.
• Works in partnership with the Medical and Regulatory Heads of local and regional marketing/commercial units to ensure medical alignment on key strategies, deliverables, & communication.
• Provides technical and scientific information necessary for product evaluation, identification, or life cycle management, as well as new businesses or therapeutic categories to ensure that the company’s product portfolio remains updated, competitive, clinically relevant, and responsive to the business objectives of the company and to the needs of the healthcare professionals and consumers/patients.
• Oversee the overall development, planning and implementation of the non-clinical and clinical trial programs locally and in the region in collaboration with internal Medical Affairs Team, Medical and Regulatory Heads of the Marketing Divisions and ULI countries, Country Heads, and the local or regional marketing and commercial teams for the generation of scientific evidence to support product registration / launches, product positioning and market differentiation, or filling in an unmet medical needs
  Responsible and accountable for the conduct and delivery of the studies according to the planned milestones and quality standards, including proactively identifying possible risks and ensuring risk mitigation plans are in place
  Ensure timely registration of products and overall safety of the molecules for the assigned therapeutic categories, and support overall program of safety monitoring & reporting. This supports on time product launches and renewals and ensures that our products can be safely taken by the consumers/patients.  Obtain and maintain regulatory approvals for company’s products and ensure that the necessary documents, processes and procedures to comply with regulatory requirements are in place and are implemented 

Required Qualifications: 

• Doctor of Medicine 
• Has experience in Pharmaceutical medicine
• At least 1-2 years of clinical experience; OR with at least 1-2 years of practice in the academe; OR at least 3-5 years of experience of Medical Affairs function in the pharmaceutical industry 
• Ideally with clinical practice or holds position in medical and scientific institutions and societies;or with background in clinical research.
