Job Summary:


The Category Manager will be responsible for driving growth and portfolio development and expansion of assigned segment(s).  The role will drive segment strategy development and ensure segment success, through excellent execution and project management. This position reports to the Strategic Ethical Marketing Head.


Job Overview: 



  • Identifies unmet medical/healthcare professional needs, insights, medical/market trends and define portfolio strategy recommendations under assigned therapeutic categories
  • Manages regional new product developments from end-to-end (from opportunity scoping to commercialization) under assigned therapeutic categories
  • Challenges current business strategies and practices by fostering a culture of innovation and applying creative, value-adding solutions to push boundaries and enhance business performance amidst evolving market conditions
  • Assesses and builds capabilities of country ethical marketing teams to ensure portfolio success
  • Be the main conduit across critical functions in Unilab Philippines and Unilab International to drive NPD launches and ensure success
  • Attends cross-functional portfolio segment teams to identify opportunities for alignment and harmonization between ULI and Unilab PH



  • Works with local marketing teams in reviewing brand positioning and DNA for key brands in assigned therapeutic categories
  • Safeguards brand equity and ensure marketing strategies and plans are aligned with established regional guardrails.
  • Drives the proper execution of NPD pre/launch plans across the different countries.
  • Conducts capability audit and expedite building of country ethical marketing capabilities to ensure portfolio success


Required Qualifications:

  • Attained bachelor’s degree in any business or marketing-related course
  • With at least seven (7) years of brand and/or category management experience for ethical products
  • With NPD launch and success experience
  • Must be a strategic and visionary thinker, with strong analytical, decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Must possess strong insighting skills and have the ability to piece together various data sources to give strategic recommendations
  • Has strong project management skills
  • Willing to travel, as needed
